Maureen R. Lyden, M.S. - President and Chief Executive Officer

Maureen R. Lyden, M.S. founded BioStat International, Inc. in 1994 with an extensive background in biostatistical analysis in pharmaceutical, biotechnical and medical device clinical research.
Prior to establishing BSI, Inc. Ms. Lyden was the Manager, Clinical and Statistical Affairs at Bausch and Lomb Pharmaceutical Division and responsible for conducting clinical trials for regulatory product approval, study design, SAS programming, database management, statistical services: customer survey analysis, product stability analysis, and analytical critique of manufacturing validation and product development studies.

Ms. Lyden received her M. S. in Statistics from Rutgers University and has a B.S. in Zoology. After completing her Master of Science Ms. Lyden managed clinical biostatics and clinical data system positions of increasing responsibility at several pharmaceutical and medical device companies including Biogen, Inc., Parexel International, Technomed International and Bard Vascular Systems.


Zhihong (Jenny) Jelsovsky, MPH, MS, MA - Manager, Biostatistics and Data Processing

Ms. Jelsovsky joined BSI, Inc. in 2003 from the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, College of Public Health at the University of South Florida, where she was also a graduate research assistant and a graduate teaching assistant. Research projects included statistical neurotoxicity risk assessments sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), lung cancer and trauma categorical data and survival analyses. Teaching projects include College Algebra, Business Calculus and Introductory Statistics.
Previously, she was an Instructor/Professor of statistics, calculus I & II, R, C, Fortran, BASIC and mathematical modeling at the College of Science, Chongquing University, China.

Ms. Jelsovsky will receive her Ph.D. in Biostatistics (expected August 2010), and has completed her M.P.H. in Biostatistics and M.A. in Statistics all from the University of South Florida; an M.S. in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics both from the Chongquing University, China.

Since joining BSI Ms. Jelsovsky has managed the BSI Biostatistics Department, and now currently has oversight over the processing of CRF data in-house and statistical review of data collection. She is Team Leader of the BSI Institute. The Institute provides introductory statistical training to research professionals and allows for BSI statisticians to participate in statistical research projects in such areas as Baysean methodology, epidemiology and genomic research.

Susanne C. Panzera, B.S., CCRA. - Manager, Clinical & Quality Affairs

Ms. Panzera has been working with BSI, Inc. since 1999 initially as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) on medical device clinical studies. In 2003, she was promoted to Manager, of Clinical and Quality Affairs. Her current responsibilities include clinical project management, clinical auditing, implementing and maintaining standard operating and working procedures to maintain company and regulatory compliance, and developing quality assurance systems and processes.
Prior to joining BSI, Inc. Ms. Panzera was an independent clinical research consultant, conducting clinical monitoring activities for a variety of medical device products including ophthalmic laser corrective surgery, orthopedic shockwave therapy, ablation catheters, insulin pumps, spinal implants and wound management dressings. Ms. Panzera also worked for Critikon, Inc. a Johnson & Johnson Company for over 18 years in the Research and Development arena where she served in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility.

Ms. Panzera received her B. S. in Information Technology Management from the University of Tampa and is a certified clinical research associate through the Association of Clinical Research Associates (ACRP).
